Teri, who served in the Royal Navy from 1988—2003, values the freedom that a stay at Calvert Trust Exmoor gives to Shannon. “It’s so accessible, I love seeing Shannon do things here that I never thought she would do. She’s safe here; she can do what she wants to do, and I can relax and give her independence she can’t have elsewhere.”
Shannon was born prematurely with 2 brain bleeds, and has Global Development Delay, Learning Disabilities, mild Cerebral Palsy and a rare Chromosome Disorder. Teri again; ”Here we can all do things together as a family. Leona enjoys it to, she’s not bored; physically the age gap between the girls is not large, but mentally there is a large gap. It’s great to be able to all do this together and all enjoy it.”
