Finding somewhere accessible to go on a group adventure that will keep everyone entertained could be a real challenge, with some members watching from the side or missing out altogether – but not at Calvert Exmoor.
We all want you to have an experience that’s fun, stimulating and full of great memories – and truly believe that everyone should take part no matter what; age and ability isn’t a barrier.
Our specialist equipment and accessible facilities enable the whole group to enjoy adventure activities together regardless of past experience or perceived barriers.
Expect a full programme of activities for all to enjoy, accommodation around the beautiful courtyard, quality meals, specialist accessible equipment if required, dedicated staff and use of all on-site facilities including the swimming pool.
Come for a three, four or seven night break and be sure of a warm welcome and an opportunity to do things side by side, together!
If you’d like to talk with a friendly person about a school residential, please don’t hesitate to call and we’ll be happy to help.

The benefits of visiting as a group
We see it time and time again, taking part in adventure activities together as a group improves communication, personal skills, belief in each other and creates magically personal moments and connections that mean the world to individuals.
Calvert breaks provide an equal opportunity to talk and bond whilst meeting new people and sharing experiences. However your group is made up, a stay with us means enjoying adventurous fun together while also mixing with other children and adults in a safe and supportive environment.
The sense of achievement can also provide a huge boost of confidence and self-esteem to people with disabilities and has a positive effect on their lives beyond their stay.
We look forward to welcoming you here to enjoy ‘the Calvert Exmoor Experience’ with us.
As the group organiser of a small charity providing support for families of children with vision impairment, we booked the full centre to provide an activity break for 18 families. As always, Calvert Exmoor provides an exceptional service on all levels. For many of our children, this is the ONLY place they can ever get away to, due to their level of need. Calvert is so accessible and the staff are so well trained in working with these children. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
