Tell us about yourself? What do you enjoy doing (when you’re not visiting Calvert Trust Exmoor)?
My name is Jake. I’m 23 years old, I work in a special needs school in Milton Keynes where I also live with my family, which consist of my 5 siblings, my mum, my dad and my dog Yogi.
In my spare time when I’m not working I also run a fitness company called Boom Power Performance Coaching with my business partner who has helped me massively with my fitness. We specialise in helping disabled people improve their fitness through our Adaptive Disabled Training programmes we create for them.
When I’m not working or running the business I love to chill, listen to music and play computer games as well as spending time with my friends and family.
How did you hear about Calvert Trust Exmoor? Why did you choose us?
I have known about the Calvert Trust for a while, when I was a lot younger I went to the centre in the Lake District. In 2013 I came back to the Lake District but this time it was with the residential college I was attending at the time.
2019 is the second year in a row I have visited the Calvert Trust Exmoor centre. The reason why I decided to come back so soon was because not only did you make us feel so welcome, on our 2018 visit we became good friends with 2 families we met the year before, we also decided to book on the same week again.
This year (2019) I also brought my 15 year old brother with me who has autism, after he heard how much fun I had the year before. He has already said that he wants to come back again.
Furthermore the reason why I wanted to come to the Exmoor site was because having been to the Lake District site twice before, I thought why not visit the other site as I heard it was bigger and better. Also, I felt that I would enjoy the trip a lot more than I had the times previously because I am now older and can appreciate it more.
