We believe that everyone with a disability should have a chance to enjoy accessible riding sessions. So we constantly strive to find new ways for everyone to horse or carriage ride.
Currently, we provide sessions in the stables for our residential guests. This includes sensory work such as grooming, riding for people of all abilities, ages and skills, plus carriage-riding for wheelchair users.
On top of that, we provide private riding lessons for those with disabilities, hire out the arena to those who need it, invite the local community to spend time with the animals, and whatever else we can to encourage horse riding for all.
By sponsoring a pony, you can directly support our work and make all of the above (and so much more) possible!
With your support, the animals and staff at Calvert Trust Exmoor can help children ride for the first time, offer the chance for adults to overcome their fear of horses, increase personal growth and learning through riding, and allow people in wheelchairs to take the reins to drive a horse and carriage.
The horses and ponies that live at Calvert Trust Exmoor are very special. They are endlessly patient and work extremely hard to ensure our guests and visitors can maximise the potential of the amazing therapeutic benefits of being able to ride, drive a carriage or just touch the horses and ponies.
