Originally used as a cattle shed, the Grade II listed building has developed over time and become a key part of Calvert Exmoor. It is a self-contained building, separate from our residential centre, found immediately to the left as you enter the site.
We are now very pleased to offer the revitalised and newly refurbished Discovery Centre as a welcoming space for all year-round activities from classes to parties to functions and meetings.
With a long table and chairs down the middle of the room for official meetings or large group work. Break-out rooms are also available. This set up can accommodate 20 people.
With chairs laid out for presentations and formal talks. A projector and screen can be provided if required. We can accommodate 50 people for this lay-out.
A bare room for you to do as you wish. Display boards can be included, just let us know what you need. Standing events can welcome up to 100 people.

Teas and coffees can be included at an additional charge, but if you would like to bring your own ingredients we have mugs, glasses, jugs, hot water flasks and urns for your use.

Please note:
A member of the party must sign the group in upon arrival and sign out again when departing. If the fire alarm sounds, everyone evacuates the building and meets in the Calvert Exmoor carpark. We kindly ask that you leave the Centre as you found it.
