Customer Service Representative
Based at Wistlandpound, near Barnstaple, Devon
Part-time, 3 days a week to include weekend and evening work.
We are looking for a new Customer Service Representative. As part of a team, you will be a friendly voice and face for our guests, ensuring they have the best experience possible – from their first phone call to their final goodbyes at the end of a stay.
Key Responsibilities:
• To welcome all visitors into the Centre and assist them with enquiries during their stay/visit.
• To take bookings using an online booking system.
• To produce & send out correspondence for bookings.
• Cash handling – gift shop, horse riding and swimming – including cashing up at the end of the day.
• To deal with incoming post daily, directing it to the correct departments/people.
• To monitor and respond to email enquiries.
• To answer incoming calls and pass on to appropriate staff or take messages in their absence.
• To enter bookings onto the swimming pool diary and perform swimming pool checks as per the policy.
• To be a qualified First Aid Pool Responder (training provided). Must be able to swim.
• To show guests to their accommodation on arrival day.
• To be responsible for distributing brochures as requested.
• To circulate Guest Feedback forms.
• Data entry onto our booking system – keeping information up to date.
• To assist the Head of Customer Services when required, to include creating Room Lists for the guest’s requirements.
• To record all income via post or in person and pass to the relevant department.
•Encourage growth by assisting the Sales Department in contacting previous guests.
• To assist the Duty Instructor to serve meals to late arriving guests (after the chef has left).
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS
Skills and experience
Essential:
• Excellent communicator – verbal and written.
• Skilled in building working relationships and working as part of a team.
• Attention to detail.
• Be punctual at all times.
• Competent using Microsoft Office – Word and Excel (advanced level desirable).
• Be committed to providing excellent standards of customer service and strive to exceed customer expectations.
• 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) grade A-C, to include Maths and English.
• Must be over 18.
• Must have own transport due to location.
Desirable:
• Health and Safety in the workplace.
• Knowledge of different disabilities.
• 1 years’ experience of working in a reception environment.
• 1 years’ experience in administrative work.
