Martha and Robert, along with their 6-year-old son Edward (who has autism and PDA), have walked 180 miles whilst delivering ‘happy post’ to 50 households.
The family, who live in Lincoln, covered the distance between the three of them in just under a month.
“The happy post started as posting parcels to friends. We also delivered cakes and treats to neighbours and local friends on our walks. Edward contributed to most of the parcels by doing a picture or baking the cakes.” – Martha

Ben, who is a chef at a nearby school, did 750 press-ups each week – totalling 3,000 altogether in one month.
To keep him motivated, he did them in a variety of unusual places.
“I had a week of my body hurting and being more tired than it has felt in a long time, but that pain and tiredness can’t be compared to that of the people and families Calvert Trust Exmoor helps. Having that thought in my mind constantly is what got me through the press-ups.” – Ben

The 67-year-old stroke survivor from London has a big love of recumbent cycling and would usually do laps of parks in the city.
He started using adaptive bikes after a visit to the centre and wanted to thank us by doing an exercise that both benefited his recovery and fundraised at the same time.
“I resolved to ‘Never Give Up’, the motto that still keeps me pedalling to this day! My first experience of what would go on to be my passion, recumbent cycling, was at Calvert Trust Exmoor. Finally, I could safely get the adrenaline pumping by hooning around at hair-raising speeds.” – Nick

2 of our activity instructors have visited all 26 Trig Points on Exmoor by foot, walking nearly 200km in 5 days.
Trig markers, points, or pillars are positioned on the high peaks of Exmoor and are found in remote places.
They experienced both high temperatures and pouring rain, plus lots of blisters!
“It’s brilliant that Sam and Tyler have gone above and beyond to raise money for the centre. I would like to thank them for their fundraising efforts and say ‘well done’ from the whole team. I’m really looking forward to seeing Sam, Tyler and the other wonderful instructors leading guests through activities once again.” – Andrew, Centre Director
