Friday 6th December 2019
2:50pm – We arrived at Calvert Trust Exmoor. We were a group of thirteen, including three support workers from “Oakford Services”/ “Unicare”. We then went to the Reception area.
3:15pm – We went over to the dining-room, then we had a cup of tea or coffee.
3:35pm – We then checked into our rooms, in the accommodation. I was in the “Heddon” accommodation, sharing a room. Others were in other apartments similar to the one I was in.
4:10pm – I was in the swimming-pool on site at the Calvert Trust Exmoor, as a group of ten people.
5:55pm – We were having our evening-meal in the dining-room. I had shepherd’s pie, with sweetcorn, carrots and gravy for main course, and banoffee pie for afterwards.
6:45pm – I went back to the accommodation with the others, then soon watched the television in the lounge in the “Heddon” accomodatrion.
7:20pm – I went with everyone to meet in the Acland Room, and had an introductory talk by Rachael (a instructor who is on duty tonight and over the weekend).
8:00pm – I was in the bar-room, with the rest of the group, and had a game of bingo, where whenever you win, you get prizes. I won a few times and had some chocolate prizes.
9:20pm – We went downstairs into the dining room and had a hot chocolate.
9:35pm – We went back to our accommodation. I sat down with others in the TV lounge with the television on. We gradually went off to bed.
 Saturday 7th December 2019
 7:20am – I was out of bed. Today was a mostly a cloudy day, with sunny spells.Â
8:25am – We were having our breakfast in the dining room.
10:00am – I was with my group to meet with Matt (my Calvert Trust Exmoor instructor). We were working in teams to get up as high as you can by standing on as many crates as you can. I got as far as nine crates high.
11:00am – We came back into the dining-room, and had a tea-break.
11:25am – We went back to the Sports Hall, and we took part on the swinging on the rope inside the building, using a safety harness.
1:00pm – We stopped for lunch in the dining-room, when it was hot-dogs with onions, chips and salad, and fruit afterwards.
1:30pm – We went upstairs to the bar-room, and saw the Shetland pony outside, and had a visit from “Father Christmas” to receive our presents.
2:05pm – I went with the group I was with this morning. We been to the bike shed. We went on tricycles to cycle around Wistlandpound Reservoir.
3:10pm – We stopped for a short tea-break, by the footpath. We cycled back to Calvert Trust Exmoor.
4:25pm – I was back in the swimming-pool, as a group of ten people.
6:00pm – We were back in the dining-room, and had a Christmas dinner, complete with Christmas crackers on the table. We had roast turkey, vegetables, roast potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding, stuffing and gravy, and I had Christmas pudding with brandy for pudding afterwards.
7:10pm – I was up in the bar-room, where there was a Christmas disco. For much of the night, we danced the night away. We also two other groups joining us up there.Â
10:35pm – After the disco was over, we went back to our accommodation to get ourselves ready for bed.Â
Sunday 8th December 2019
7:40am – I was out of bed. Others in the apartment were also getting up, too. Today was a mostly cloudy day, but windy with sunny spells.
 8:30am – We were over in the dining room, and had some breakfast, including a fried breakfast.
9:10am – We went back to our apartments to get ourselves ready and prepared for the day. I also been to Reception, and purchased some souvenirs from the shop, including a purple “Calvert Trust Exmoor” T-Shirt.
I had a brief game of pool, with a someone from another family staying at the Trust this weekend.
10:00am – There were twelve of us altogether meeting, and we all went together with instructors Matt and Tyler, to the Sports Hall, to get our harness equipment on. We then went to the footpath, leading the area of the abseiling wall, where each of us then had a turn in coming down, once attached to the safety rope.Â
11:10am – We stopped for a tea-break, in the dining-room.
11:40am – We came back outside, and over to the zip-wire, where each of us had a turn on the zip-wire.Â
1:00pm – We were in the dining-room, and had some lunch. I had a baked-potato with cheese and baked beans with salad, and afterwards had some cake.
2:00pm – We all met with Matt and Tyler and walked along to the archery training area, and all had a turn on the archery, with the bow and arrows, and our aim was fire it onto the board once given guidance from the instructors.
3:00pm – We were back in the dining-room, having a cup of tea, whilst it has been hail showers in the meantime.
3:20pm – After the shower of rain, we came outside and stood around a wood fire and had a cooked marshmallow using a stick to hold it to cook over the fire.
We all gathered together outside and had one last group picture of us altogether, before we came back indoors to the centre, at 3:40pm.
4:00pm – I was in the swimming-pool as a group of ten people using it.
5:50pm – We were having our evening-meal. It was either fish and chips with mushy peas or chicken curry with rice for tea. For pudding, it was either apple crumble with custard or cheesecake.
7:35pm – I joined eighteen other people in the Acland room, where we watched the “Elf” Christmas film.
9:05pm – After the film had finished, I got a hot chocolate and later joined those in our group up in the room, and had a drink, and a few games of pool, too, until last orders at the bar at 10:45pm.
10:55pm – We were back to our accommodation, then we went off to bed.
 Monday 9th December 2019
 7:15am – I was out of bed. Today was a sunny and cloudy day, but windy.
 8:15am – After finishing our packing, we went over to the dining room, and had our breakfast.Â
8:55am – Afterwards, we loaded the cases by the front entrance, and said our goodbyes to people.
9:15am – We departed and made our way home, via Barnstaple.
11:30am – I returned home from my holiday to Calvert Trust Exmoor.
