Covid-19 – Information for Guests:
Update 1st April
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic Calvert Trust Exmoor is temporarily closed to guests in line with government guidance. We are reviewing this fast-changing situation regularly and will keep you informed with news of when we will be back to operational capability. Staff and Trustees of Calvert Trust Exmoor are taking the situation very seriously and are deeply concerned for all members of the public and the impact it is having on the wider population. We are operating on an extremely reduced staffing structure and for those that do have to be on site we are adhering to all safe social distancing measures and personal hygiene practices.
If your holiday is booked for May or June we will be in touch with you shortly but please do bear with us as we are currently running with skeleton staff resources. If your holiday is for July onwards then we will contact you in due course if it becomes necessary.
Thank you for your patience and ongoing support.

The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is our priority and we will take all necessary precautions to ensure their continued welfare. As with many businesses, we are actively monitoring the situation with regards to the outbreak of coronavirus and are constantly reviewing and following the guidelines of Public Health England and the Government.
If you are planning on visiting Calvert Trust Exmoor from an area that has been directly affected by the coronavirus AND if you are showing symptoms similar to those associated with the virus (for example: fever, cough, breathlessness), we please politely ask that you do not visit and instead call NHS 111 for further advice and instruction.
For further information, please refer and adhere to the advice given by Public Health England.
During your visit, we wish to reassure you that Calvert Trust Exmoor is taking all possible steps to minimise the risk of contagion, including the implementation of enhanced cleaning regimes throughout the centre. Rest assured, we will continue to act quickly should we be required to do so and will take all necessary precautions to protect the welfare of our guests and staff.
We ask all our guests to observe high standards of personal hygiene whilst visiting Calvert Trust Exmoor. There are simple things you can do to help prevent the spread of the virus, including:
- Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
- Putting used tissues in the bin immediately
- Washing your hands with soap and hot water regularly
- Trying to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
- Avoiding touching your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
If you do feel unwell during your visit, please contact a member of staff immediately – maintaining a safe distance of two metres where possible.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
