Calvert Trust Exmoor is occasionally awarded bursary money from generous benefactors.
This funding enables guests who require financial assistance up to 35% of your total break cost.
Bursaries are discretionary and assessed on a case by case basis.
Guests who are in need of financial assistance are welcome to apply for a booking at any time of the year.
Previous bursary recipients are allowed to apply again for a bursary after 12 months but are unlikely to be awarded a bursary at the maximum percentage. Previous receipt of a bursary does not mean that you will be automatically eligible to receive one in the future.
If you’d like to be considered for a bursary, please call us on 01598 763221 to book a provisional date and to request a bursary application form.
Please note: One of the key criteria to be eligible for a bursary is financial need. We are therefore unable to award a bursary after a booking has already been paid in full.
Bursaries are only available for guests staying at Calvert Trust Exmoor and are to assist directly with the cost of the stay. Unfortunately, we can’t offer bursary support for travel costs or other associated costs.
Family Fund Grants
Another option for families with disabled children under 17, is the Family Fund Grant.
They offer grants to parents or carers raising a disabled or seriously ill child, and they may be able to help cover the cost of your holiday.
Visit their grant application page for more details.
Happy Days Children’s Charity
Also, Happy Days Children’s Charity provides grants directly to families and groups to enable them to go on activity holidays, day trips and breaks. Applications can be made by parents, guardians, grandparents or siblings, as well as GPs, consultants, nurses or social workers. Another opportunity for our visitors to cover the costs of a stay.
