Facilities on site
Accredited by The National Accessible Scheme for hearing impaired guests, our specialist facilities are all located together on one tranquil, user-friendly site, including riding stables, swimming pool and Jacuzzi. There’s also The Barn bar and games room where you can enjoy free entertainment each evening, a TV lounge, and sensory room. Meals are also included in the cost, and guests can eat in our conservatory and dining room or outside in our beautiful courtyard.
Our easy-access accommodation is set around a courtyard garden, all with en-suite, level-entry wet room facilities. We also offer a range of specialist aids and equipment including trembler pads (Deafgards) for our guests with hearing loss and hearing impairments. Every room has a guest booklet containing lots of information to help you make the most of your stay, and our friendly staff are always on hand to assist with anything you may need.
Activities to do
One of the unique things about a break with Calvert Trust Exmoor is that you get a dedicated, fully-qualified activities instructor to take your group through all of your adventures during your stay. This enables them to really get to know you, and helps you make the most of your holiday.
All of our activity breaks are based around a structured programme of activities which is set out on the day you arrive. One morning, you could be enjoying an exhilarating cycle ride around Wistlandpound Reservoir with the rest of your party on one of our specialist bikes. Then after lunch, you might spend some time in the Stables with our specially trained riding instructors, on the back of one of our beautiful horses, helping with grooming or driving a horse-drawn carriage. The next day, you might take part in gravity sports like climbing, abseiling or whizzing down the zip wire. Or perhaps you’ll end up sailing on the lake with the sun on your face and the wind in your hair…
